How to Reach Your Target Audience Through Social Media

Social media is one of the best free ways to advertise your business and your products and services. Your audience are already there waiting to consume content, you just need to reach them, so how exactly do you do that?

Use Images and Video

Quality images and videos have exploded in the social media space in recent years and remain one of the best ways to attract different audiences to your business content. Try to make your images and videos a little different and unique to you to make them stand out as people scroll on social media.

Create a Community

Creating a community group around your business niche can work wonders for your engagement and authority in your sector. Promote exclusive content for your group members to keep them engaged and following your content long-term. Attract people to your group across social media by using teaser content which directs them to your group.

Engage with Your Audience

Simply engage with your audience! Reply to all comments and messages and make it easy for them to contact you if they need to with up to date information and contact details. Make your replies more engaging by avoiding one word answers or comments and adding questions to your comment feed to keep the conversation going.

Promote a Giveaway

Giveaways always glean a lot of interest so if you have the means to do it then host them! This is an effective way to get more likes, comments, shares and engagement with your posts. Follow up on this after the giveaway by getting a review from the winner about what they thought of their prize/service. Have fun with this.

Embrace Live Videos

Everyone loves a live video, especially if you are discussing current or industry topics. Engage with your viewers throughout the live by asking them questions, requesting they comment their thoughts or sign up to your future lives and events. If you haven’t done a live before and feel a little nervous, do a few practice runs in front of your camera first to get more comfortable with it.

Do you find this blog has helped as you begin to dip your toes deeper into the social media space? If you would like to chat about any of the above in more depth, I would love a one-on-one meeting with you to discuss any of these ideas in more detail. You can find my contact page here.
